Project Adventure Kids
The next exciting Project Adventure Kids Volunteer opportunity will be on Saturday, August 2^nd for the 20^th Annual Covington Century Bike Ride!  All of the money raised will benefit the kids at Project Adventure Kids. We had over 800 cyclists last year and are expecting over 1000+ cyclists from all over the state of Georgia to ride with us this year.  

We need your help!!! We need volunteers to run the rest stops, work registration, work at the spaghetti dinner, and help with parking--- so we need a lot of volunteers!  Some of the kids will also be helping out in these different volunteer jobs. I have attached a flyer that tells more about the different opportunities. With all of the cyclists registering that morning, we will have some kids climbing the 70 foot wall (on our property) to demonstrate the team building exercises – so lots of excitement going on…. The day begins at 6am and goes to 4pm – you can pick your volunteer job and however long you can work that day …we guarantee you will have a fun day!  

We have two firsts this year regarding the event – 1. The kids and staff for the first time will be riding bicycles and will lead the cyclists in the beginning of the ride. They are called Team Adventure!  2.  We also have a new website www.covingtoncentury.org created just for the ride.  If you would like to ride with the kids please contact Lisa Ciancio (lisaciancio@gmail.com) for further information – the kids have practice rides set up every 2 weeks until the ride date.
